I have lived in Loveland, Colorado for the past eight years. In that time I have fallen in love with this community. I don’t believe there is a better place to live or raise a family than right here in northern Colorado.
I have been married to my wife, Ryann, for 5 years. She is a stay at home mom and works full-time raising our two kids, Drake and Raine. She also works as a fitness instructor on the side.
I originally come from Chicago where I attended North Park University which is a Christian college on the north side of the city. I studied political science and music. After I graduated from college I felt God’s call on my life to enter full-time ministry. I moved to Colorado and attended worship school in 2005 and also began working at Crossroads Church in Loveland. Since that time I went on to form Foundations Church where I now serve as the worship pastor. Foundations Church is a non-denominational church that currently meets in Thompson Valley High School.
My career in ministry has taught me what it means to be a servant leader which I believe is necessary in this position. The most successful leaders are ones who have an attitude of humility above all else. That is the type of leadership that I will do my very best to bring to the Thompson School Board.
I have deep roots in the public school system as my family includes everything from a retired kindergarten teacher to a 2nd grade teacher in an inner city school to a middle school social worker to a school librarian. Although I do not pretend to have all the answers, I am very familiar with the challenges that our educators face.
My interests outside of spending time with my wife and kids include playing guitar, fly fishing, cooking, reading and all things sports. To get to know me more follow me on Facebook and Twitter.
